Advertised on behalf of customer, a very tidy, solid and mainly
original Series III Lightweight. 2.25 petrol, 12 volt, right hand
drive. One of the later (1983) batches with 5-bearing petrol
engine, recently cosmetically restored with new upper bulkhead, new
canvas and paint. Good solid chassis, sweet-running engine with new
(reproduction Zenith) carburettor. Twin fuel tanks (both
new). Full 24000 mile service (all fluids changed) by myself in
April, MoT tested at the same time, very little use since. Has
recently been back in my workshop for attention to the gearbox (new
synchromesh springs for 3rd / 4th gear) and also a new rear
crankshaft oil seal. Great fun to drive and much nicer now the
gearbox no longer crunches into 3rd.. Owner is looking for offers
around £7,500 which I reckon is a fair price for a smart,
structurally sound Lightweight that has had money spent in all the
right places. All ready for the 2020 show season,or just a nice
old thing to use and enjoy. Contact me
if you are interested and I will pass your details on to the owner
who lives a few miles south of Norwich. |
